Well, what an experience! This
was by far the best and most personal tour we have
experienced.
The trip started in consistant rain and
as we traveled to the Vrsic mountain pass it changed to
snow and rain. A short way up we reached a point where
the snow plough had not been. So we stopped for a cup of
coffee before turning around.
But! As luck would have it, the snow
plough came through and we were one of the first to
travel the pass this year.
The scenery was absolutely outstanding.
Snow covered mountain tops, trees, cars and everything!
Valley views were spectacular.
We stopped and walked part way to Soca
spring again surrounded by magnificent scenery.
Continuing on through the Bovec region
to Napoleon's Bridge and than a 20 minute walk to Kozjak
falls, but we could not access that because the water
level was too high. The walk through the undergrowth
forest was in itself an enjoyment.
From there to Kobarid and the museum
which was of particular interest to us and it is well
worth seeing.
The higlight than had to be the train
trip home, sitting in the vehicle on a railway carriage
and watching the world go by.
Domen is to be complimented on his
excellent, safe driving, his organisation and friendly
disposition.
It is a trip we can well recommend.
Many thanks, Domen!
